Ron Munden's Portfolio 1965 -1975

And Then There Was Color

In the 1960s and up to the mid-1970s I was a black and white photographer. I saw no reason to every go to color. Working with b/w was so much fun.

Why did I switch to color? Simple. In the mid-1970s the bottom fell out of the b/w street artist market. B/W photographers were selling nothing while color photographers were making all the sales.

I decided to switch to color.

This is one the first color picture I took. I think it was taken in the Canary Islands where I boarded a ship to go to Greece.
