San Francisco and Points North In 1967 I graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with and engineering degree. In 1967 the job market for engineers was "hot". I got lots of job offers. I took the lowest paying job. One of the best decisions I ever made.
It got me to California and my new employer paid for me to get my master's degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
What a great time to go to California. 1967 was the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco. The Hippies invaded Height Ashbury. I spent many weekends in Golden Gate Park listening to music and shooting pictures of people.
I also began to fall in love this the Northern California coast. If I was not in the park I was at the coast. This is one of the first pictures Point Arena lighthouse.
