One morning we started our day unusually early to observe bird activity. Our naturalist, Daniel, who accompanied us on our outings, was extremely knowledgeable and could identify all the wildlife we saw. He also was able to whistle to sloths who were generally not close and get them to respond by turning their head. Sloths are not a bundle of energy, at least the 3-toed variety. As we were enjoying nature surrounded by the sounds of parrots, tucans, hawks, egrets, cranes and various monkeys, one of the canoes from our river boat showed up with hot coffee and breakfast. We all said that was a moment to be remembered. It was the best and most unusual restaurant where I have ever dined.
